This “Hissy Fit Dip” with the crazy moniker is a HUGE party hit browned sausage mixed with cream cheese, sour cream, Velveeta, Muenster cheese, chives and seasonings, baked until bubbly and irresistible!
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and coat a 9x9-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage, crumbling it as it cooks, until browned and cooked through. Remove the sausage from the skillet with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel-lined plate; let cool for about 5 minutes.
Add the cooled sausage and all remaining ingredients to a medium bowl and stir until well blended.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, spreading it into an even layer.
Bake for 1 hour, or until bubbly and golden brown.
Let cool slightly before serving warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or veggies.
Notes
This dip can be assembled ahead and refrigerated before baking; you may need to bake a few minutes longer if chilled. You can also make it in a slow cooker without browning.
