Ingredients

Sliders

  • 1 12-count package King's Hawaiian Rolls
  • 3 cups shredded rotisserie chicken or any cooked shredded chicken
  • 0.5 cup Buffalo sauce such as Frank's RedHot
  • 0.5 cup ranch dressing or substitute blue cheese dressing
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Garlic Butter Topping

  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried parsley or Italian seasoning

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Using a large serrated knife, slice the entire slab of rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected. Place the bottom half in the prepared baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, mix the shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, and ranch dressing until well coated.
  • Sprinkle 1 cup of cheese (half mozzarella, half cheddar) over the bottom buns. Spread the chicken mixture evenly on top. Add the remaining 1 cup of cheese, then place the top slab of rolls on.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley (or Italian seasoning). Brush evenly over the tops of the rolls.
  • Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 15–20 minutes, until heated through and the cheese has melted.
  • Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 5 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and toasty. Cool for 5 minutes, then slice and serve warm.

Notes

Make-Ahead: Assemble sliders up to 24 hours ahead without baking. Cover with foil and refrigerate. Add 5–10 minutes to the bake time when cooking from cold.
Freezing: Assemble in a foil pan (without butter topping), wrap tightly, and freeze up to 3 months. Brush with butter topping before baking frozen for 30–40 minutes covered, plus 5–10 minutes uncovered.
Pro Tip: To prevent soggy bottoms, layer cheese under the chicken mixture or lightly toast the buns before assembling.
