Sliders
- 1 12-count package King's Hawaiian Rolls
- 3 cups shredded rotisserie chicken or any cooked shredded chicken
- 0.5 cup Buffalo sauce such as Frank's RedHot
- 0.5 cup ranch dressing or substitute blue cheese dressing
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Garlic Butter Topping
- 0.25 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 0.5 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried parsley or Italian seasoning
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Using a large serrated knife, slice the entire slab of rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected. Place the bottom half in the prepared baking dish.
In a large bowl, mix the shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, and ranch dressing until well coated.
Sprinkle 1 cup of cheese (half mozzarella, half cheddar) over the bottom buns. Spread the chicken mixture evenly on top. Add the remaining 1 cup of cheese, then place the top slab of rolls on.
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley (or Italian seasoning). Brush evenly over the tops of the rolls.
Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 15–20 minutes, until heated through and the cheese has melted.
Remove foil and bake uncovered for an additional 5 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and toasty. Cool for 5 minutes, then slice and serve warm.
Make-Ahead: Assemble sliders up to 24 hours ahead without baking. Cover with foil and refrigerate. Add 5–10 minutes to the bake time when cooking from cold.
Freezing: Assemble in a foil pan (without butter topping), wrap tightly, and freeze up to 3 months. Brush with butter topping before baking frozen for 30–40 minutes covered, plus 5–10 minutes uncovered.
Pro Tip: To prevent soggy bottoms, layer cheese under the chicken mixture or lightly toast the buns before assembling.
