Main Ingredients
- 1 lb halal smoked sausage (turkey or beef)
- 4 cups baby potatoes, halved or quartered
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 0.5 cup sour cream (optional)
- fresh parsley (optional garnish)
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Wash and slice baby potatoes into halves or quarters depending on size.
- Slice the smoked sausage into 1/4-inch thick rounds.
- In a small bowl, mix ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
- Toss the potatoes in olive oil and half of the seasoning mix until evenly coated.
- Spread the seasoned potatoes on a baking sheet and scatter the sausage slices over the top.
- Roast in the oven for 35–40 minutes, stirring halfway through for even cooking.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top and bake for an additional 5 minutes until melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot with a dollop of sour cream if desired.
Use pre-cooked sausage and pre-washed baby potatoes to save time. For variety, add vegetables like corn or peas in the last 10 minutes of roasting. Swap cheddar with pepper jack for a spicy twist or try turkey sausage for a leaner option.
