  • 1 lb halal smoked sausage (turkey or beef)
  • 4 cups baby potatoes, halved or quartered
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup sour cream (optional)
  • fresh parsley (optional garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Wash and slice baby potatoes into halves or quarters depending on size.
  • Slice the smoked sausage into 1/4-inch thick rounds.
  • In a small bowl, mix ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  • Toss the potatoes in olive oil and half of the seasoning mix until evenly coated.
  • Spread the seasoned potatoes on a baking sheet and scatter the sausage slices over the top.
  • Roast in the oven for 35–40 minutes, stirring halfway through for even cooking.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top and bake for an additional 5 minutes until melted and bubbly.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot with a dollop of sour cream if desired.

Notes

Use pre-cooked sausage and pre-washed baby potatoes to save time. For variety, add vegetables like corn or peas in the last 10 minutes of roasting. Swap cheddar with pepper jack for a spicy twist or try turkey sausage for a leaner option.
