Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread cut in half lengthwise
  • 1/2 cup salted butter softened
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup Colby Jack cheese shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the French bread loaf lengthwise and place on a baking sheet.
  • In a small bowl, combine softened butter, garlic powder, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning. Spread evenly over each half of the bread.
  • Top with shredded Colby Jack and mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, until the butter and cheese are melted and bubbly. Broil for 1–2 minutes at the end for a crisp top if desired.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

Add red pepper flakes or paprika for a spicy version. Best served fresh and warm. Store leftovers wrapped in foil and reheat in the oven for best texture.
