- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 cup barbecue sauce optional
- 4 hamburger buns
- Toppings: cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions as desired
In a medium bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Mix until just combined.
Form the mixture into 4 equal patties about 1/2 inch thick. Press a thumb indent into the center of each patty. Brush with BBQ sauce if using.
Preheat the air fryer to 370°F (188°C).
Place patties in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 6 minutes.
Flip the burgers and cook an additional 3–5 minutes, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
For cheeseburgers, add a slice of cheese and cook for 1 more minute.
Serve immediately on buns with your preferred toppings.
Use 80/20 beef for the juiciest results. Pressing a thumb indent in the center prevents swelling. For frozen patties, add 5–7 minutes to the total cooking time
